Join Us for a ‘Housing 101’ Information Session TODAY from 2:00-4:00PM

While there are many housing assistance options in Tucson, accessing services can feel overwhelming. What options are available? Am I eligible? How do I get in? What documentation do I need? Will it be a safe and affirming environment?

According to the Williams Institute, over 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ.

This striking disparity is one of the reasons why the ANCHOR Project exists, and why we have a Housing Consultant on staff to provide one-on-one assistance with housing supports. John is with us every Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4pm during Empower Hours. He’s available to meet with you face-to-face or by phone. Drop in, give us a call (520-909-0754), or send a message to our Facebook page (“The ANCHOR Project”) if you’d like to connect with John.

Today, John is hosting a ‘Housing 101’ information session where he’ll describe the steps involved in getting started with housing assistance. He’ll explain the Vulnerability Index – Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool (VI-SPDAT), discuss the importance of a Release of Information (ROI), describe what documentation you’ll need, and direct you to other helpful resources like www.pimacountyhelp.org and www.pimacountyhousingsearch.org.

You’ll come away from today’s info session with a clearer vision of how to get a foot in the door, as well as answers to your own questions. Join us from 2-4pm.
