Individual Prevention Planning

make it happen

Have you been putting off setting up an appointment with your health care provider? Are you interested in using safer sex protection but don’t know where to start? Have you been meaning to get tested for STIs but aren’t sure what to expect, don’t know where to go, or are worried about the cost? Have you been trying to negotiate safer sex with your sexual partner(s) but have been running into barriers?

Many of us have goals related to our sexual health, but are not sure where to begin when working toward those goals. Individual Prevention Planning (IPP) is a opportunity to discuss your goals with a Health Educator and create an action plan for achieving them.

Together we will map out your objectives, evaluate personal strengths and resources that will move you forward, and acknowledge and attempt to address potential barriers that may get in the way. Using SMART guidelines for goal setting, participants will come away from the session with concrete action steps for achieving their goals.
